The political uncertainty continues to impact our local real estate market. While listings are experiencing normal inventory numbers for the 2nd quarter, the sales have leveled out in most areas. A combination of global jitters and high interest rates have many buyers and sellers in a wait and see situation although the market is fluid and seems to be changing daily, so stay tuned! Tariffs could stabilize, interest rates could drop and then we’ll be in a whole new ballgame! If this sounds familiar, you’re correct-this is exactly how we saw things in the 1st quarter of the year. We are seeing quite a bit of pent up buying and selling brewing and once interest rates start moving down, we will see a quick turn around in the activity levels.
